  • Mechanical Engineering

    When considering an engineering partner, you must consider the “fit.”   Our experience goes beyond the design of equipment, piping, and ductwork — it includes collaboration with other disciplines and trades, sustainability, and total cost of ownership.

    Make sure you are partnering with an engineer who will work with your maintenance teams and end users in addition to the project lead.  

    Our approach is to first consider the “who?” and “why?” of every project, establish the must haves and differentiate them from the wants, then use that knowledge throughout the design process to implement a solution that will serve you well for years to come.

  • Project Management

    Do you remember a project that was enjoyable, even in the face of challenges and hurdles? Did that project have a team that worked together, communicated well, and seemed to always be engaged in achieving the end goal?

    This project likely benefited from sound project management.  

    Together we’ll establish expectations early and update each other often on the project management knowledge areas. Planning for success is one key way to “control the controllables” and effectively respond in the face of adversity.

  • Professional Training

    You have the team and want to expand their knowledge and skills.  We have developed curricula and taught foundational and advanced skills in both university and professional settings. Our experts will work with you to develop the content you need to progress.  

    Training can be delivered in OJT (on the job training), lecture, and collaborative workshop formats and is customized to suit your unique situation. In-person and web-based delivery are available.

About Matt Archey

Matt Archey, PE, PMP, LEED AP BD+C — founder of Archey Engineering — is a licensed mechanical engineer with a career spent developing the built environment. His earliest projects focused on HVAC systems for commercial offices, education facilities, healthcare clinics, and hospitals and progressed to industrial utilities and process systems. He excelled as a leader at an ENR Top 500 Engineering Firm where he led teams of structural, mechanical, electrical, and automation engineers and architects and managed a portfolio of globally recognized manufacturing clients in food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and heavy industrial markets.

From there he shifted to the “owner’s” side of the table, leading capital projects in CPG processing and packaging and developing strategic approaches for infrastructure project portfolio execution.

Through it all, he never lost sight of the reason why buildings exist — to help people thrive in their communities.  He founded Archey Engineering in 2025 to fulfil a purpose of helping others in the best way he knows how.

Archey Engineering is built upon two primary concepts:

  • We are stronger when we work together

  • Projects should help businesses better serve their clients and customers without negatively impacting others

Projects within your organization should be exciting, not a burden or something to dread.  When you have the opportunity to upgrade or expand your building or process, you’re taking a step towards your goals and pursuing a vision. 

For some, this is new territory and you may not know where to begin or what the finish line looks like. 

For others, this is business as usual and you’re looking for somebody to support your team through the endeavor while following your organization’s standards.
